Keston Kuechel is a photographer from Vancouver, Washington. He studied at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics and gained a deep passion for photography when he was 14. Although he does take portraits, his work with landscape and nature photography has most caught my eye. I especially love the Zion and Flower photo series'. He has adopted the mantra from Ansel Adams, "You don't take a photograph, you make it", this mantra I find to be extremely true. It is the defining line between art and business in the photography market, because, some would argue that the camera does the work of making the picture, but in reality the camera is but a tool, and it is what you do with the photo after taken that makes it art. I love his photographs of flowers because of the vivid colors and rich contrast.
